Residential Fellowship at the Collegium de Lyon

The residential fellowship includes an apartment in our residence on the ENS Lyon campus, assistance with arrival formalities, and integration into our interdisciplinary cohort of international scholars.

The fellowship is open to all academics whose field of research falls within the scope of the Food Trajectories Thematic Institute. Applicants must already be employed as researchers or faculty members at institutions outside of France and must remain employed by those institutions for the entire 2027–2028 academic year.

Presentation of the Thematic Institute
From supply chains to the dinner plate, and from cultural practices to health and sustainability issues, the institute explores both our daily diet and the collective dynamics that shape it.

This thematic institute of the University of Lyon brings together a multidisciplinary community of researchers to develop innovative research and training projects focused on food and the associated challenges.

By partnering with local authorities, economic stakeholders, and the non-profit sector, our institute helps to better understand food systems and practices, as well as their impacts on health, society, and the environment.

In doing so, our institute positions itself as a key player in boosting the international profile of the Lyon-Saint-Étienne area, addressing the challenges of food system transitions within their spatial and temporal dynamics.
