The first part of the seminar is devoted to the symbolism expressed by bubbles and second part to physical phenomenons..

The first part of the lecture will be devoted to symbolism that is expressed by bubbles in culture. Philosophical views related to the phenomenon of a bubble and ideas that are expressed by the image of bubbles in painting will be considered.
The second part of the lecture will be devoted to bubbles as a physical phenomenon. In particular, forces that are experienced by bubbles in an acoustic wave field, called “Bjerknes forces”, will be the subject of discussion. I shall tell about the history of these forces and how they are used in contemporary scientific research and technology.
