The lecture will be devoted to the application of gas microbubbles in ultrasound medicine. I will tell about physical mechanisms underlying this technique and achievements of our research team in the study of these mechanisms.

The main attention will be given to a challenging technique under development, known as targeted drug delivery, which is based on using ultrasonically activated microbubbles and aimed at the delivery of drugs and genes inside individual biological cells in the human body.

Alexander Doinikov is a senior research scientist and a principal research scientist at the Research Institute for Nuclear Problems of the Belarus State University and a 2020-2021 Fellow at the Collegium de Lyon.
