Celso Martins Azar Filho : Ignorance savante et savoirs ordinaires à la Renaissance

The Renaissance was a period of reconstruction of scientific, technical and artistic languages through the mutual reshaping of their fundamental concepts. This study aims to show the paradoxical contribution of 'ordinary' knowledge to the conceptual gestation of modern science. This book is the result of the conference "Ignorance savante et savoirs ordinaires à la Renaissance" ("What is Modernity in Art?"), held in Lyon on 28-29 October 2021. The book and the conference were supported by the Collegium de Lyon.
