Congratulations to Cathy McClive!

Cathy McClive, Professor of History at Florida State University, is the co-author, with Lisa W. Smith, of the article 'Women at the Centre: Medical Entrepreneurialism and ‘La Grande Médecine’ in Eighteenth-Century Lyon', which was published in French History (vol. 38, no. 1, 2024).
This article has received several awards:
- Best Article Award 2024–25, awarded by Nursing Clio;
- Best Article Award 2024–25, awarded by the Society for the Study of Early Modern Women and Gender;
- Honorable mention for the Koren Award, awarded by the Society for French Historical Studies.
Cathy McClive was a Fellow at the Collegium de Lyon in 2024 as part of the European FIAS programme. During her stay, she was co-hosted at the Triangle laboratory.
Her work received support from the European Commission's COFUND call (Horizon 2020 co-funding, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Grant Agreement No. 945408) and ANR Labex RFIEA+ as part of the France 2030 Investment Programme.
