Edith Kauffer : in "Wednesdays of the Anthropocene" - Ecole Urbaine de Lyon
On The December 9, 2020
Exploring the conflicts arising from mining
18h30 à 19h30 - Ecole urbaine de Lyon - Online
As part of the Wednesdays of the Anthropocene (Season 4) Edith Kauffer explores the conflicts linked to sediment extraction.
The notion of "politics" makes it possible to explore the conflicts around the extraction of sediments, it also facilitates the understanding of the role of political actors at all territorial scales.
Edith Kauffer accomplishes this exercise using the sediments of the Usumacinta River, which forms the border between Mexico and Guatemala.
