PROJECT

Perception and attention: phenomenological investigations and ethical developments

Theoretical-conceptual research in which the aim is to investigate possible ethical developments in phenomenological descriptions of perception and attention.
Four points appear central to this study:
the phenomenological attitude as a conversion of the gaze; the social condition of perception; the dynamics of the sensitive experience anchored in bodily spontaneity; and perception conceived as openness to the perceived world, or as awe. It is intended, throughout the research, to outline, analyze and discuss each of the indicated topics.

The research subject, in addition to favoring the development of conceptual, theoretical and historical issues about the phenomenology of perception, is part of the increasingly robust field of work that questions perception and attention as major problems in the context of contemporary culture.
