New article by Veronica Zubillaga, 2022-23 fellow

 

Verónica Zubillaga has just published a new article entitled ‘I am the Mother of the Boss here’: A Relational Biography in the Critical Criminology Journal (Springer).

A professor at Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Verónica Zubillaga has spent the last twenty years researching urban violence in Latin America, particularly youth gang violence in Caracas, gender issues, public policy and qualitative methods. In recent years, she has also combined her academic activities with public engagement against social and armed violence, advocating for gun control and disarmament policies in her country.

This publication was written during her research stay at the Collegium de Lyon (September 2022 – June 2023), during which she was co-hosted by the Triangle laboratory.
