Tommaso Giordani : "Sorel and Sorelianism in 20th Century Anti-liberal and Anti-democratic Political Thought"

As part of the workshop "Comparing Illiberal Legacies and Ideological Morphologies" organised by the Central European University, Tommaso Giordani, historian in residence at the Collegium, presented his research on "Sorel and Sorélianisme in twentieth-century anti-liberal and anti-democratic political thought".

Tommaso Giordani obtained his doctorate in history at the EUI (European University Institute) with a thesis on Georges Sorel. He has taught at Gonzaga University and worked on the ERC project "Between the Times" in Tallinn.
He is a 2024-25 Fellow of the Collegium de Lyon.
