Women's Agentivity in a Globalised Patriarchal Society" Study Day
On The May 20, 2025
From 9am to 5pm
This scientific event will focus on the notion of agentivity, understood as the "power to act". It will analyse individual choices in a constrained context, taking into account the influence of social structures on agency. A feminist approach will focus on women's forms of resistance in the face of multiple oppressions, and the spaces and modalities in which this resistance is exercised, both at the individual and collective level.
This event is co-organised by Mathieu Azcue (CMW, HCL), Laurence Tain (Université Lumière Lyon 2), Zhanna Karimova (UGA, Fellow 2023-24 Collegium de Lyon), Lena Magnone, researcher currently in residence at the Collegium, co-hosted by IHRIM and Marylène Lapalus (CMW).
