2027-2028 INSERM/Collegium Fellowship
From September 15, 2026 to November 23, 2026
Inserm and the University of Lyon offer a residential fellowship for international researchers, co-hosted by the Collegium de Lyon and Inserm laboratories in Lyon/Saint-Étienne. Stays last 5 or 10 months during the academic year (September–June).
The University of Lyon’s contribution includes :
- Providing a furnished and fully equipped apartment at the Collegium residence on the ENS de Lyon’s Descartes campus. All utilities are included, except household insurance.
- Assisting with administrative procedures before, during, and up to the end of the stay.
- Integration into the Collegium’s scientific life (participation in the weekly interdisciplinary seminar, as well as Collegium events and science outreach activities; possibility to attend courses in French as a foreign language offered at the ENS de Lyon).
Inserm’s contribution includes :
In addition to the contribution paid for participation in the program:
- Coverage of initial travel costs to France and the return trip to the country of origin, up to a limit of €2,000.
- A contribution towards the residential fellow's expenses of €500 per month (reimbursement against receipts).

Timeline:
- 23/11/2026, 6 pm (France time): Application deadline.
- December 2026: Preselection of finalists.
- January 2027: Final selection.
- February 2027: Results announced.
- September 1, 2027: Fellow arrives at the Collegium (for 5 or 10 months) or February 1, 2028 (for 5 months).
