Cultural psychology explores the mutual constitution of persons-minds and socialcultural worlds. It aims to be both transdisciplinary and international in its approach, and to develop theoretical models that remain faithful to people’s lived experiences. This volume further advances these objectives through an exploration of core concepts (especially, normativity, liminality, and resistance), cultural psychology’s foundations in philosophy, and the translation of theory into a methodology for investigating distinctly human ways of relating to the world.

  Brady Wagoner completed his doctorate in social and political sciences at the University of Cambridge and is now Full Professor at Aalborg University and Oslo New University College. He publishes on memory studies, the history of psychology, cultural psychology, political psychology, and social change. His recent books include The Constructive Mind: Bartlett’s Psychology in Reconstruction (CUP, 2017) and The Oxford Handbook of Culture and Memory (OUP, 2018). He has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Humboldt Prize in 2021.
  He was a 2019 and 2021 Collegium de Lyon Fellow.
