SCIENTIFIC PROJECT
"What Is Nature? On the Political and Scientific Aspects of the Concept of Nature in Kant"
This project aims to explore the concept of nature in Immanuel Kant’s philosophy, focusing on its dual political and scientific dimensions. While Kant is often studied for his contributions to epistemology and ethics, his reflections on nature reveal a complex interplay between human sociability, moral development, and scientific investigation. The research will examine how Kant’s ideas of the natural foundations of political order intersect with his conception of the physical world, highlighting the role of antagonism, freedom, and law in both human communities and natural systems. By analyzing these interconnections, the project aims to provide a more integrated understanding of Kantian nature as a principle that structures not only scientific knowledge but also the ethical and political life of humanity.
