SCIENTIFIC PROJECT

"Deciphering the Role of Stromal Cells in Sensing and Promoting the Preneoplastic Niche"

This project investigates how changes in the tissue microenvironment, particularly immune and stromal cells, may support the earliest stages of cancer development. By applying advanced techniques to study the interplay between the immune cells and emerging cancer cell, the project will identify how the immune system senses gene mutations and other early signals of cancer. Understanding these early events could lead to new strategies for cancer prevention, including improved tools for early detection, immune-based prevention strategies, and methods to reduce cancer risk in high-risk individuals. In partnership with the Cancer Research Center of Lyon, this project brings an innovative perspective to cancer prevention with the potential to advance public health.
