Robert Pyka will present : “Innovation places and the new architecture of the creative city. From decreed to diffused and bottom-up creativity and social innovations.”

The objective of this conference is to bring together researchers, professionals along with public and private organizations in order to address the issues of innovation models, relations between artistic activities and digital technologies, territorial innovation and the making of city, and to re-read the idea of ​​a creative city in the light of the challenges of the 21st century.

Three main axes will punctuate this conference :

  • Beyond the creative classes, a cooperative society based on the ethos of the maker?
  • Beyond creative clusters, new avenues of innovation?
  • Beyond creative cities, urban regimes of innovation?

Robert Pyka is a professor of sociology at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) and a 2020-2021 fellow at the Collegium de Lyon.
