WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE COLLEGIUM OF LYON — THE UNIVERSITÉ DE LYON'S INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED STUDY
The Collegium de Lyon is the Institute for Advanced Study of the Université de Lyon. It is a member of the French (RFIEA), European (NETIAS), and intercontinental (UBIAS) networks of IASs. Its mission is to act as a scientific incubator, welcoming international researchers who wish to develop an innovative research project in collaboration with a research unit of the Lyon Saint-Étienne academic ecosystem over a period of 5 or 10 months.

Following on from the ANR AgroCCol project and the 'Cultivation in Antiquity' study day organised at the École française de Rome on 9 January 2024, the study of Columella's work, the agronomic tradition and, more broadly, the Roman didactic tradition (encyclopaedic, veterinary, medical, etc.) will be continued. The approach will focus on the gender norms advocated in these treatises, offering a new perspective on these texts.
